About FGL

Hi, I'm Ellen, the founder and lash artist behind FirstGlanceLashes.

My journey into the beauty industry wasn't always the plan. After finishing school, I never went to college because I simply didn't know what I wanted to do. I spent years working in customer service and hospitality, where I developed a genuine love for connecting with people and making them feel welcome.

In my mid-twenties, I found my way into the lash industry and discovered something that felt different. I realised I could combine creativity with my passion for people, while helping women feel confident, beautiful and their absolute best.

As my career grew, so did my vision for FirstGlanceLashes. Creating my own FGL lash trays was a huge milestone for me, taking something I had built as a lash artist and turning it into a product that represented my own brand. Seeing my logo and my vision come to life on a product I could use in my own work was a really proud moment for me.

As FirstGlanceLashes continues to grow, so does my vision. I don't just want to create beautiful lashes, I want to help other people discover what they're capable of too. Through FGL, my goal is to create an experience where clients leave feeling their best, and aspiring lash artists leave feeling confident, educated and ready to build something of their own.

Because sometimes you don't find your path straight away... you create it as you go.
